Departure from your accommodation in Puerto Natales heading to Torres del Paine National Park via Route 9.
Once we enter the park, we will head to the Pudeto area to board the catamaran, where we will sail for approximately 25 minutes across Lake Pehoé towards the Paine Grande Refugio dock, enjoying excellent views of the Paine Massif and Salto Grande.
We will prepare to begin the 22 km round-trip trek, lasting approximately 8 hours, along a medium-high difficulty trail. Upon reaching the Italiano Camp area, we will take a brief stop to have a snack and rest before entering the French Valley, a geological formation that showcases the retreat of glaciers and offers unique views of the Paine Massif from its southwestern face and surroundings, until we reach the viewpoint that will allow us to admire the French Glacier. If we're lucky, we may see and hear an avalanche.
We will continue on the route to reach the British Camp, at 490 meters above sea level, which offers an impressive view of the surrounding area, dotted with relict glaciers. Once we rest, we will begin our return along the same trail to board the catamaran again to the Pudeto area, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us to the Pehoé sector around 20:00 hrs. There, we will have snacks to share, enjoy an excellent dinner, and stay at our campsite.
Departure from our campsite at Pehoé, heading to the Pudeto area for the catamaran crossing to the Paine Grande area, where we will begin our route to the Mirador Lago Grey.
Once we disembark, we will prepare to start the approximately 22 km round trip trek along a medium-difficulty trail, through a Lenga forest (Nothofagus pumilio) while appreciating various views of Paine Grande and Lake Grey until we reach the viewpoint, where we will have our box lunch, rest, and enjoy nature in all its splendor. We will return along the same trail to the Paine Grande Refuge to take the catamaran back to Pudeto.
We will return to our campsite in the Pehoé sector and prepare to head back to Puerto Natales.
