An unforgettable experience in Patagonia. These trails are located to the west of Torres del Paine National Park, outside the main circuits. They offer unique views of its lakes, rivers, and the snow-capped peaks of the Massif and its stunning surroundings. A must for photography enthusiasts.
The Cerro Ferrier and Miscellaneous Trail trekking is a high-intensity activity rewarded by a path through Lenga (Nothofagus pumilio) and Coihue (Nothofagus betuloides) forests, where we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Grey Glacier and the floating icebergs on Grey Lake. We’ll also be able to appreciate Cerro Paine Grande, Pingo Glacier, Lake Toro, Paine River, among other attractions.
For the Miscellaneous Trail trekking, we’ll head to the central area of the park. Along this trail, we’ll appreciate the vastness of Lake Toro, the largest in the Magallanes Region, along with its beautiful landscapes.
Departure from your accommodation in Puerto Natales via Route Y-290, heading towards Torres del Paine National Park.
09:00 AM
We will enter the park through the Serrano Guard Station, and once we register, we will head towards the Grey Lake Guard Station sector.
We will begin the 4-hour round-trip trek along a steep, well-marked trail of medium-high difficulty that winds through the slopes of Cerro Ferrier, a formation belonging to the Patagonian Andes.
We will walk through a majestic mixed forest of Lenga (Nothofagus pumilio) and Coihüe (Nothofagus betuloides), habitat to many endemic birds and also the Huemul (Hippocamelus bisulcus), one of the most beautiful and elusive species in the Park.
When we reach the viewpoint, we will have time to rest, have lunch, regain our energy, and enjoy one of the most comprehensive views of Torres del Paine National Park, including the Zapata and Grey glaciers, part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, along with the main lakes and rivers. The return route is along the same trail. Upon arriving at the ranger station, we will board our vehicle to head to the start of the Misceláneo Trail.

We will prepare for the 1.5-hour trek along an easy trail, which offers the opportunity to calmly enjoy the unique views and take beautiful photographs.
The trail starts from the Administrative Center of Torres del Paine National Park, located at the former main house of the Río Paine ranch, and continues to a viewpoint with incredible views of the Paine Massif, Lake Toro, and the park's glaciers.
