Departure from the Plaza de Armas in Puerto Natales towards the most iconic and representative sites of our beautiful city and its surroundings.

On this approximately 3-hour tour, our guide will provide panoramic and historical insights during stops at the most important points, such as Villa Cariño, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city, located on the shores of the Señoret Channel, next to the Almirante Montt Gulf, with the Última Esperanza Fjord in the distance as a natural backdrop.

We will continue towards Colonia Isabel Riquelme, the site of the first livestock settlements near the city, until we reach the Puerto Natales waterfront, with its facilities for artisanal fishing, docks with industrial activity, and connections to the rest of the country. We will see the remains of the Braun and Blanchard Dock, a vestige of the industrial and livestock past that, along with Puerto Bories, contributed to the progress of our city and province. This site has been chosen by a large colony of Cormorants (Phalacrocorax magellanicus) as their home. From here, we can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the various mountain ranges and snow-capped peaks surrounding Puerto Natales.

After these visits, we will follow the coastal route along the historic roads outside the city, heading to the localities of Puerto Bories, where in the early twentieth century, a large refrigeration industry was established, operating for seven decades, driven by the thriving sheep farming that characterizes our region. We will pass through Puerto Prat, a small rural locality where the first settlers of the area, of German-British origin, established themselves, and through Puerto Consuelo, the first modern human settlement. This settlement was crucial in identifying the favorable conditions for livestock farming and played a key role in reaffirming Chilean sovereignty over the territory.

To conclude our excursion, we will head towards Laguna Sofía, where we will observe its unique flora and fauna, condor nests, and fascinating views of the Sierra Señoret and the Prat Mountain Range.
