The Miradores del Paine Trekking is an active excursion, ideal for nature and photography lovers. We will explore three important trails within the park, offering the opportunity to observe abundant flora and fauna, along with incredible scenic landscapes. An unforgettable experience in Patagonia.
Departure from your accommodation in Puerto Natales via Route 9 towards Torres del Paine National Park, in a journey of approximately 2 hours.
We will enter the park through the Laguna Amarga Entrance, and after registering, we will head towards the Sarmiento Entrance, where we will begin our first trek along the Aonikenk Trail, a well-known biological corridor for local wildlife and also a path once used by the first human inhabitants of the area, who left their mark with a series of cave paintings, which we will be able to see. This 2-hour hike will give us the opportunity to observe abundant birdlife and an attractive view of the Paine Massif with the Paine River and lakes in the distance. We will finish our hike at the Laguna Amarga Entrance.
Afterward, we will head to the Pudeto area, where we can admire the impressive Salto Grande, a 12-meter-high waterfall that drains Lake Nordenskjöld into Lake Pehoé. From here, we will begin a 2-hour round-trip trek of low intensity through the Patagonian steppe, appreciating the diverse birdlife inhabiting the lagoons along the trail, until we reach the shores of Lake Nordenskjöld, where the Cuernos Viewpoint is located.
Here we will rest while enjoying a magnificent view of the glacial lake, the Paine Massif, the French Valley, and the Cuernos del Paine in the foreground.
On our return, we will take our vehicle to the Pehoé area, where we will visit the viewpoint by the lake. We will have lunch at our camp, and after relaxing with the view of the Paine Massif, we will head to the Condor Viewpoint near our campsite. This trek lasts approximately 2 hours round-trip, during which we will ascend to the viewpoint along a moderate slope until we reach 350 meters above sea level. From there, we will enjoy the park's most famous view with Paine Grande, the French Valley, and the Cuernos del Paine with Lake Pehoé at their feet as a backdrop. We will also appreciate the characteristic flora of the area, spot local birdlife with the majestic Condor (Vultur gryphus) as the highlight, and take the best photographs.
Once we descend from the viewpoint, we will begin our return to Puerto Natales via Route Y-290.
