Itinerary
Itinerary
06:00 a 06:30 hrs – Pick up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales
Arrival to Torres del Paine National Park
08:30 hrs – Pudeto Pier. Departure at 09:00 hrs – east-west direction by Pehoe Lake.
09:30 hrs – Arrival at Paine Grande refuge, bathrooms and preparation.
We begin our hike in a northwest direction, entering through the Cañón de los Vientos and ascending gradually, always along the slopes of Mount Paine Grande.
After 6.5 kilometers, we reach enough altitude, 275 meters approximately, to have a view of Grey Lake and Grey Glacier tongue, only interrupted by the huge Nunatak (rock island in the middle of the ice mass).
We descend to almost the level of the lake, passing through an ancient Magellanic forest, burned in the fire of 2011.
We will arrive at the end of our journey, after 11.5 km and 4 hours of walking.
The main and closest viewpoint of the glacier allows us to see the east arm of the ice mass, approximately 1 km on its west arm.
The return trip is done by the same trail.
18:00 hrs – Catamaran back to our vehicle that will take us back to Puerto Natales.
21:00 hrs – Arrival to the city, transfer to your lodging.
